Uganda

1:27pm Denver time Sunday June 10th–10:28 Uganda Time Sunday Evening:

After 21 hours in the air and 5 hours of driving our team has made it to the city of Gulu in Uganda.  We are 9 hours ahead of Denver.  This week I will be  training pastors in the , a communal hermeneutic, a learning process (First Principles), the Pauline Cycle of Planting churches and a lot more.  Tonight I met pastor George who the team has worked with since 2008.  He is about 5′7″, thin, but strong in his spirit and identity of Christ.  As seems the norm for him, he brought 5 young men in their twenties with him to chat with our team.  I set among 3 of them named Jeff, Chris, and Andrew.  Though we are from different sides of the planet, our God and Kingdom are the same.  We hit it off quickly and I’m excited to invest in two of them this week—-one is leaving town tomorrow.  Please pray for myself that I can communicate clearly and in the direction the Lord leads.  I’m really excited to get going and feel the Lord has brought a great deal of my learning and calling to a head and has been preparing me for this trip.  Please pray no one on our team of 5 becomes ill.  Also pray for Cynthia, Kathy, Gerda, and Diane as they lead a lot of little ones in VBS.  Pray for my family back home as our house is in the middle of a remodel and unfortunately my wife has to finish that off.  Finally, pray that the Lord would move in great ways as in the days of the Scriptures upon the hearts of these church leaders.  I will be training from 9am-4pm Gulu time which is 12:00am to 7am.  Obviously you will pray at those times since most of you would have little reason to be awake by then so I know you will be praying:)  Despite a few challenges of a flat tire and Brussells airlines being stinkers to deal with, the Lord has blessed our travels.  Blessings in the name of our Lord Jesus who calls us and moves us forward in him.
